Frm the time i came to abudhabi i m making idli's n boiled rice.This thread had cleared me so many confusions.But boiled rice idlis are really soft and tasty...my research...

 

ali mohammed store is near to oasis restaurant,i think its back side of salam hospital,u can ck there ,u get all type of rice ,ponni raw rice is very nice there ,its royel chef ponni rice u get in 5 kg bag ,if u want i can try getting their phone number.

I will be coming to Dubai next month and i am also new to Dubai. Please guide me where we get ponni rice and idly rice in Dubai. Can we get the idly plates in Dubai?

what are the things i have to get it from India? did all Grocery items,kitchen items (india grinder and mixey, dosa tava (non-stick items) ) are available. what will be the cost?

How are you? Welcome to Dubai.

You need not confuse. Here you get everything you have nothing to bring from India. If needed bring some basic utensils(even you get the utensils here). Rest you get it here.

1. Raw rice and Idly rice - You can purchase from super markets or from Al-Adil which is famous for indian products.

2. Grocery Items you get everything here. Please don't bring
1. Khas Khas whether raw, roasted or cooked.
2. Paan
3. Beetle nut (supari and its products, e.g. Paan Parag etc.)
as they are banned and if caught the penalties are severe.

3. Kitchen items (india grinder and mixey, dosa tava (non-stick items). You will definitely find in the malls Lu Lu, KM Trading. And the cost depends on the brands.
