@gknew, I am 70 years old and lost my father in 1987 when I was 33 years old. It is difficult to lose one of the parents and thought of one of your parents being alone in India is always daunting. My mother stayed alone from 1987 to 2018. Luckily, my brother stayed in India and hence he spent time with her. However, since this thought was killing me everyday, I decided to volunteer in the Hospice for elderly patients treating them as my parents and I still continue this service. In a connected world, this feeling gives you satisfaction as though you are serving your own parents.
I am so sorry for your loss sir. It's great that you were able to do the service in the hospice centers. Thanks for sharing this thought. I will look into it too.
