    thanks for coming in and thanks a lot for the contribution.
    You are right. Spirituality is not a commodity to be sold. Then only rich can be spiritual. But that field is highly commercialised now. I know many of these spiritual gurus raking in millions and the kind of jealousy and pettiness that's there in their circles.
    Remembering a great man like Ramanuja is the best antidote to the present day ills.

    Sridhar sir,

    feeling very bad that our country where great people like Ramanujar were born are having people like Ramdev also. And more pity is many of us encourage such people.
    Change has to come from each of one of us.
    May Ramanuja aacharya give us strength and will power to stand against corruption and evils.

    I do know about Ramanuja but this very particular incident I didnt know... I know about Purandar dasa Kanaka dasa Sant Tukaram n et al of Karnataka and Maharastra and I am learning about Tamil Alwars and et al thru your blogs....
    You seem to be upset with my reply...My point was not to irk you but to say atlast somebody who had the power to gather people is raising such issues n it is good sign if we give momentum to it by considering about the movement alone.....If we get this black money issue resolved justifiably then even Ramdev will be caught if he has hoarded money else just by speculations and no actions will make India suffer under useless politicians....

    Rabindranath Tagore, Bankim Chandra Chatterjee n the likes..... articlesinspired layman to take active part in Freedom movement and I consider this as another Freedom movement to be free from Corruption n maladministration......

    thanks for stepping in. Yes it's very bad that we have politicians like A.Rasa and swamijis like Ramdev.
    Basically we people encourage those who are already popular.
    Yes, Ramanuja alone can give us the strength to bear these idiots.

    Oh, dear, dear vjb,
    I am not all irked by your reply. When he first started the fast I was very happy and supported him. But unlike Anna he does not have a clean slate. And his demands are not clear. While Anna could make the Government do something this man had to just run away clothed as a woman. And he's threatening to start a fast again. But this time people are not taking him seriously.

    Corruption and black money are too serious to be left to just swamijis and nethas.
    Let me reiterate in the heart of hearts I am happy that something is happening thanks to Ramdev.
    Rest assured I am not offended at all.

    Ramanujar..:bowdown: to him and also to Kidambi Achan and to Thirukostiiyur Nambi who brought the greatness of Ramanuja's disciple as well.

    this is one of the most haunting episodes in Ramanuja's life. Ever since I heard this I have been writing about this. As you know there is one whole chapter covering this incident in my book Vallamai Thaarayo.
    that's the greatness of these people.

    Dear sir,

    I have read your blog about ramanujar's fast earlier... reading the incident again filled my eyes with tears. A great man who did not even reveal the identity of the people who tried to kill him.... who lead a life of a pauper, begged for food.... who went on a fast to end corruptions....:bowdown:bowdown:bowdown to him.

    I don't think that baba ramdev's name should ever be written in the same line as the noble man.
