quality time!

    i am a mother of a 13month old baby..
    i m finding d day too long..
    its so hard to spend day only with ur kid,,sometimes its boring too
    i am not in a habit of playing much with my kid..cause rest of the time either i am feeding her,messaging her..i also take her to park daily for an hour or so..
    my dh comes late from the office

    its getting tough for me,,to spend whole day..

    ilites plz share ur tips..how to teach/play with my 13mth old girl and how to spend quality time?

    dont worry,this time will pass...
    u can do many things with ur baby so that u both can enjoy!!
    play some rhyme CDs..she will watch, dance with it n u can get some time...
    give her a piece of paper, pencil, crayon...let her do anything she wants...at least she will sit
    for sometime...
    building blocks is a great time pass...just teach her and she will do it..(i hope she must be doin this)
    make her sleep after lunch for 2 to 3 hours...

    I used to do like this with my son...he was very much interested in paper/crayons and building blocks..just try to do.. lets wait for other replies....

    I see you are a stay at home mom..... and babycare alone can be daunting. Kids at this age love colorful books. Picture books ....big bright toys....listening to music....I used. To take de to the kitchen in her high chair ...... n make food.....got her lots of musical battery toys.links... stackers. Took her to park. Walked with her. She loved that she cld walk on her own..... played in sand... played with other kids..... spoke to their mom as the kids were playing along. Kids love Pram strolls ..,.. checking out trees birds...people... observing stuff.

    How are you doing? and how is Zoey? Laya is doing fine. she had chicken pox last week, poor little one. And the news is we are expecting our second one in April.

    I am also a mother of 2 yea old and baby caring alone is not very easy....with all the other chores to be done..
    Well, when my son was 1.5 years old I stopped breast feeding ....Then I used to (and still do ) play nursery rhymes fro him.We have 3 different CD's . He loved to play bat&Ball SoI play along with him. HE watches TV as well for sometime Pogo etc and also the different ads .He loves the Colgate ad. a lot . I give him a good bath in the monring and he is asleep for 2 hrs and then post lunch he sleeps for an hour.So I have a good personal time for myself.
    Then as everyone suggested paper and pen helps a lot. My son loves beating drums.So we have 2 drums at home and I hand him the sticks he sits and beats continously.It is very nice watch him do that .Then i take him out for 2 hrs. Bed time I show him story books as well..Try all this...and lemme know
