Hi ILites! Need to travel to Princeton from Newark in Feb by public transport. I would appreciate any inputs. Mainly looking for travel by train ( NJT?), Is it generally safe? Timings reliable? Travelling end Feb , not used to that NJ kind of winter, so any thing to look out for besides proper winter wear? Also any NJ specific dos and donts ? Thanks a lot!
Go to this page: New Jersey Transit. Input your info, and it will take you to the appropriate schedules. Fare info is on the bottom of the schedule page. Do you need to go to Princeton or to Princeton Junction? NJT is safe and heavily traveled. You'll be in urban areas so take the usual precautions ... beware of pickpockets, be aware of your surroundings, don't stand too close to the platform edge, etc. Reliability is always a question, especially in winter when there may be snow delays and/or cancellations. Alerts and advisories for your trip are on the schedule page. There are lots of Indians in NJ. Not all of them are well-behaved. Safe travels, @SunPa! .
