Please preserve your wedding invitation

    Wedding is an one time important affair. We print cards and sampradhaya pathrika for inviting people. It's importance doesn't stop there itself. Even after 12 years of marriage, our wedding invitation was required in my husband's office as a proof of our marriage.( we didn't register our marriage yet.)
    We might need our seemandham, kids ayush homam, upanayanam pathrikas for future reference as we will be elder to print invitations at that time.. We need these as reference.
    So please preserve or scan and store pathrikas for future use.

    Good post
    WE due to negligence or some thing often forgot to register the marriage. This is very important in providing correct name as Girl's surname changes after marriage. I got my passport rejected due to changes in name and i fail to provide marriage certificate. Then I got corrected and again applying for passport. Oh what a mess?
    Doing things again and again repeatedly.

    we got our marriage registered after 8 yrs & registar office needed the invitation cards as proof of marriage & 2 people who had attended the marriage.
    get your marriage registered asap .............its a small process but a very important process .......

    if u register marriage after 1 month of marriage... need to put a affidavit i guess... mine was registered within 3 days... so i didnt have a problem at all... invitation i have saved as memory not as marriage proof... for marriage proof i have my marriage registration certificate!

    I got my marriage registered within 3 months of our maariage. The marriage cerficate has been useful to me at so many occasions.
