Dear dear Sridhar and Indhu,

You already know that you both are in my prayers. I have not been able to log in in the last few days and read your starter post only now.

I am sorry that your dad is not keeping well. It could be the tension of the oncoming ceremony of his granddaughter. I hope he is feeling better now.

Both of you, please do not worry. I do not have a single doubt that the Goddess Meenakshi will bless your daughter's wedding and it will be just perfect. I am sure the young ones will carry a very sweet and beautiful memory with them all through their lives.

While making the arrangements, even if stressful, please do not forget to enjoy every moment of it...Summava sonnar..Kalyanam seydhu paar 'nu??!! But in the hectic of it all, one should not forget that it is a most important period in your lives and that of your daughter's. So cherish them. I just cant wait to see the pictures of the wedding.

Our dear, dear, dear Kamla,

To be in the prayers of such a nice woman.. well we can't ask for a greater blessing from Him.

Your comforting words filled our minds with lots and lots of courage and confidence. We are slowly delivering on our commitments and the momentum is picking up fast. Distribution of invitations is almost over. Shopping almost complete.

Dad is not keeping good health. And that gives him a kind of depression. And that further affects his health. We are all cheering him up.

I learnt one more lesson in these preparations. When you have something solid to do, better do it. But if you do not have anything to do there is no point in worrying about the marriage work. The best way to spend the gap between jobs is to indulge in your favourite activity which in my case is writing. Over the last one week I used the gap to write a Tamil novel and also drew the outline for a new serial in IL.

The boy's side is helping us a lot in the marriage work. The boy's father has started advising me, 'dont get worked up, sir. We have lots and lots of people to do the work.' And almost every one I meet tell me, 'Sridhar, we'll come to the marriage even if you don't invite us. Now tell us what work we have to do.' I think this wedding will be unique - all hosts and no guests.

As an accountant it is heartening to see the asset side of my balance sheet overflowing with a lot of friends - my retained earnings after living in this planet for 51 plus years.

Yes, with these factors surrounding us, we can't but cherish what we are doing at present.
