Please help booking air ticket from NYC to New Delhii

Hello,

I am new here and would appreciate a little help for booking a flight ticket for my sister. I am not sure how to go about it.

Here are the details:

1. A return ticket from New York state (preferably from Rochester otherwise JFK) to New Delhi or Mumbai.
2. Travelling around December 21-25, 2013 and returning around March 15, 2014.
3. The ticket should be refundable or atleast the return ticket should be refundable as she might postpone the date of return.
4. No preference for a particular airlines.

I would appreciate it a lot if someone could tell me at what sites I will get the best prices and what airlines she should travel for comfort. Sorry if this is in the wrong section, would appreciate a staff moving it to the right place.

PS: My question might be pretty generic but I am a bit confused about refundable tickets. Tried makemytrip and it didn't show if a certain ticket is refundable or not.
