You can get any flights from your place to Hawaii. Usually, you will have a stop over/change of flight from California. I heard that, local in Hawaii will have the best deals. Other option is getting into Cruise, which is very good. check : www.ncl.com for curise.
Also, best time to go Hawaii is around Jan/Feb, as these whales would have migrated to south and you would see many of them with their babies.

Hi, Not sure if you've already been to Hawaii but AAA has good packages. Visit your local AAA office and they can customize a package for you based on the no of days, islands you want to visit etc. Definitely recommend Maui, followed by Big Island. Ohau is ok - not as good as the other two.
