In Anegudde, Lord Ganapathi is also called, ‘Siddhi Vinakaya’ and ‘Sarva Siddhi Pradaayaka’, the provider of all boons.

Anegudde is considered one of the seven 'mukti sthalas' in coastal Karnataka and in this temple Ganapathy is viewed as a form of vishnu.
