.. periods almost whole month.. is it ok??

    hello every1..
    Am married age 40.. .. nw facing this prob and too much worried for it...
    had my periods for 16 days( little heavy bleeding) then 5 days gap.. bt my periods started again and today is 10 day still having it.. am worried... is it ok??..scared to visit doc..
    plz help friends...i would be really thankful..

    hi amworried,
    don't panic. you must see your doctor or gynaecologist. its not good to have periods like that. my mother had same problem and doctor gave some medicines , but its not helpful to her. then they did the Hysterectomy. (i am not trying to scare you:)).

    Irregular periods around the ages between 40-57 can also indicate menopause. Anyway check with a gyn to make things clear.
