Pebbles And Bubbles

I am a battered, sedimented

And hardened pebble,

In awe of the free-spirited bubble.

Yet, I feel strangely comfortable

In my own being and marvel

At my own spirited survival.

I, an old-world woman,

Who accepted and

Won all the challenges

The destiny threw at me

represent the stoic resilience.

Though at times, I do loathe

Her impatience and vacillation,

To me, the modern woman

Represents the exuberant

Confidence and flexibility.



Often my mind debates

Who is better amongst us?



Unbiased, I vote for the bubble.

She is my own new version;

Despite her fragility

She has the courage

To be on par with the men

And stay unfazed

By the hardships

Strewn on her path,

She bounces back

Again and again,

Like a brave warrior

Reflecting gaily

The myriad colours of

The beautiful rainbow.

She leads the world forward;

She's truly God’s best creation.
