Hello IL's, This is my first post and I'm new to chennai too. I'm going to get married in a month. My marriage and reception will be in my home town. We don't have much people known in Chennai except our friends and colleagues. We are in confusion if we can give reception to them or arrange a get-together instead of that which will be more fun. What do you think? Please let me know your valuable suggestions. We expect around 50-60 people for the reception in chennai. We asked Saravana Bhavan hall. But its too far from our place. One is Anna Nagar and one in Mylappur. We are residing in valasaravakkam. Can you please suggest me a party hall within this area. Even t.nagar, nungambakkam, porur, vadapalani, ashok nagar etc areas would be fine. please let me know. i don't know where to ask. finally I found this forum and I believe I'll get good responses for this. Please let me know. Thanks, Kanmani
Re: Affordable Party Hall Kanmani, Welcome to il. Congrats on your marriage. Do mention your budget, so that people can pitch in. since it is 50-60, you could check out a mini hall and engage caterers..which may turn economical or find a hotel/restaurant that has a party hall. Will come back with a list later...i am sure others will also pitch in.
Re: Affordable Party Hall Shanvy, Thanks for the quick reply. We saw few halls. But they are little far from our place. I like to give in Saravana Bhavan hall. But its too far. I really want the food should be very good. Its fine if the food is within 220/person. I'm looking for a hotel with party hall. Also, Please let me know your suggestions on the reception. We're working in the same company. So, same people would come for both of us. No one else other than that. Is it a good idea to give reception for everyone. Instead, Is it good to provide a get-together party for our friends? Please let me know. we're little confused. Thanks, Kanmani

In my area very good mini halls are available and it will cost only Rs.6,000/7,000. Lot of catering people are also available in this area. They will also provide quality/tasty food. In total the cost will come only Rs.220/person., which is within your budget and it is also closer to your place. You decide. Kaverivenkat
