    Blending is applying two colours and spreading with a brush all over the design may be single double or triple blending

    hi nithya... i have not yet decided the color dear.. I may go for shopping this weekend.. wil select whichever catches my eyes at that point of time.. vil surely let u know once i start my work!

    :hiyahi kaluputti.. thanks for ur info and encouragement.. but poor thing is i dont know the wear saree.. that too cotton saree, very difficult...Witsend... As i already mentioned.. as far as the color.. wil choose the one which catches my eyes... wil b starting my work very soon... wil keep u updated... i want to design broad border and heavy pallu.. could u let me know any website where i can download designs!

    Hi virajitha,

    blending two colors, i.e. a dark and its light color, is very easy.Usually we make a color light by adding white, and make it stronger or darker by adding a very little of black or blue if you are a novice, and complementary color if you become an expert in color mixing.Don't bother about complementary colors now.

    For example in the side you want a dark red, you apply red thickly, and the side you want lightest, you apply white. and when they are still wet, you combine both the edges with a new wet brush, where the area will become a lighter red, or pink. This is called blending, and in the same way you can make lights and darks.You have to have a seperate brush for each darks and whites or blacks.:2thumbsup:

    You can try Tushar Silk, painting will be easy and smooth on Tushar Silk.
    If you want do some stroke painting you can use Shiffon.
