    hi,
i am not an expert, but still i'll try to tell my opinion.
1.u can use plywood .i also heard about mh(i'm not sure but it start with m)can be used, from my craft teacher.
2.enamel will shine,so its better to use black paint (acrylic or oil or all surface color)
3.the above effect i believe its just a plain paint work or u can use pop or chalk powder and fevicol mix ,but i don't know about finish whether u like or not.this is opinion ,u can wait for some expert il friends opinion.

Hi Srividhar,You can go for Fevicryl or Camlin glass colours. There are two types of colours...solvent and water based colours. For solvent colours you can use the brush.Wheras the water colours comes with a nozel so when u colour bubbles form.See that you don'tshake the bottle...you can break the bubble with the end of your brush or a tooth prick.Try,try and you will suceed.

Hi Saishu,You need not sketch the glass design and you need not varnish it.There are stone colours available in the market...when used it gives a stone effect. There are red,green,white,lavender,blue...mostly we use red, green and blue.In case you don't get it you can go for stick on or glass colours. For the gold colour it is also available....just mix it with a little varnish and paint. Its a little costly...come in a small container..but gives a good effect than gold colours or dust which comes in camlin or fevicryl. Can share if you have more doubts.

    Hi Saishu,
After your painting is over crush aluminium foil and stick it on the stone colour...you get a shining effect.

    hi deepali
u can paint on a plywood thin variety or else even hard board also. first u have to coat the board with a white primer which is available in hardware/paint shops. when it dries wipe with a sand paper very lightly so that u get a even surface. on that u can straight away paint whatever figure u want. it is better to cover the background later on always and u may have to touch up in the figure later also. u can use fevicryl fabric or pearl colours on both the boards. when it dries fully leave it for a day or two then varnish it with clear varnish just one coat with a flat brush preferably. hope these paints are useful for u. feel free to ask if i am not clear. bye ...happy painting........post ur finished picture in il.
