    Hi All,

This month I would be trying naturally without any medications and HCG shot, yet I am being monitored for follicle size. Yesterday I had a follicle scan and my follicle size was 23mm. Today I am experiencing pain on the side I have follicle. I definitely think its ovulation pain. But my concern is, this pain feels like contractions (ie., the pain keeps coming and going regularly). Is this normal ovulation pain or something is wrong. If this not normal, do you think the released egg is been thrown off from my body. I am really worried if this will mess up my chances for this month.

Actually today morning before the pain started I ate something which will actually cause contractions if pregnant. I ate because I thought it wouldn't harm as I have not ovulated yet.

    What do you think?

Guys atleast share how did your ovulation pain feel like. Was it continuous or was it periodic like contractions. I am guessing mine was Fallopian tube contraction.

Ovulation need not always be accomoanied by pain...it differs...

sometimes some cramps come due to HCG trigger shot

    Hi Divya
Did u check with your doc regarding pain.

When we are on medicines if follicle size is more or we have multiple follicles there will be pain. But since it is natural cycle pls check with your doc or nurse.

I have experienced very mild pain in lower stomach during ovulation.

Have never heard of egg being flushed or thrown away.

    Relax. stress will never help.

    Sticky baby dust to u.

    Cheers
    Bella

    dear divya,

I experience pain during ovulation - it is a sharp intermittent pain on one side of the abdomen [depending on whichever ovary is ovulating]. After ovulation, it is back to normal. But I guess the pain differs from person to person.

The body does not flush out eggs. It is too early in your case for the body to reject the pregnancy through contractions. So please dont worry.

    love,
    kylie

Kyle you got my point in saying that these contractions are too early to eject something off my body.

For others: I am not concerned about the pain. In the past I had ovulation pains in some cycles but kind of vaguely remember they were continuous. So my concern is that the food I took has caused these contractions which might ruin my cycle this time.

I will hope for the best.
