Even Harry Potter and platform 9&3/4 didn't do it? I would have said the Chunnel but those buggers are closing it out I think, thanks to Brexit.
For every place someone dislikes, there is another person who loves it. London is one of my favorite places to visit. If it’s up to my kids, they would live in the London Natural History museum (and they have been to plenty of natural history museums). I wouldn’t even start on the British Library and all the free museums London has to offer. I don’t think I would want to live in London (or for that matter anywhere outside the USA) for long but definitely ready to visit whenever opportunity arises.
I would hope so.. : ) It is like camping ... for every person who likes it, there is one who dislikes it so strongly they wouldn't go camping if their life depended on it. : )
Taj Mahal. I can read fiction and non fiction books about Mughal history, and watch movies based on those, but both my visits to the Taj were disappointing. But the company made the trips memorable. It was not due to the crowded and rather dirty city around it, or the tiring journey to Delhi and then to Agra. Maybe I went with very high expectations. I much preferred the lesser visited ones like Humayun's tomb in Delhi or even any derelict old structures we suddenly come across when driving on remote highways in India.
In the middle of a pandemic, when there is no where to go, I'd rather stay home than sleep in a tent with no restrooms or a public loo
I ddnt include Grand Canyon when I commented about Vegas, its truly breathtaking!! Enjoyed every bit of it
I'm following this thread to pass time. I felt same as you after reading some posts and that is 100% true that tastes differ from person to person. I just visited what I wanted to visit and still so many places in my wish list.
