Dear Friends,
I am posting two photos of my younger granddaughter Manasvini. She went for the first round as one of 300 & odd candidates, more for the fun of it, as she says. She has progressed up to the last 12.
The finals is on 22 nd of this month. She is still not very serious about it at all ! But she is enjoying it because it has given her tremendous exposure & confidence in the past one month.
She is a final year student of B I S M (Information systems & Mangement)M O P Vaishnav College & plans to do her MBA ( like her elder sister Prarthana!).
She is right now, very busy, going for practice sessions etc, but will surely write here to you all !
I thank you all on her behalf, for your sweet & loving words & wishes.

I had the good fortune of seeing you yesterday at Vijay TV. I loved the casual way in which you told the comperer that you have been selected.
You look simply great and there is nothing to stop you from reaching the top. Never lose your trademark enthusiasm. Win or lose, you are going to come out of this is a much greater person. All the best, Manas, once again.

first, a deeep breath and then lemme say oh wow!! i feel like i have won already! thank you so much, it feels great!
like ammamma (THE il-ite!) said, i just joined the pageant to have a good time and believe me thats all ive been doing!! its been tremendous and ive made some really good friends.. i am not a model and dont plan to be one so its like my little girl-fairy tale dream come true!! They are training us on a variety of things like ballroom dancing, kalari (or something in the name of it!!), diction, communication, aerobics, workouts, basic makeup and general etiquette. The whole reality tv concept is entirely new too.. there are camera's following you everywhere and its something like never before! i do confess though, i can pose in front of a camera till the camera gets bored!! Anyways, the final event is on the 22nd and things are hotting up... its starting to get really hectic but that i can proudly say is my forte
Lemme add that there are several polls on the internet and through the telephone for various titles, so if you guys are free, ill let you know when they start and you guys can vote too !

This forum is absolutely awesome!
