IOC is under a scanner by the parent Olympic body and India may be banned from attending the games if they did not remove tainted officials from their committee. Abninav Bindra and other athletes are up in arms as they would lose a golden opportunity to take part and represent the country in the prestigious games. The IOC refuses to consider the removal of tainted corrupt officials saying that the law of the country considers them innocent until proven guilty. It is strange that all political parties are keeping mum though they talk about promoting sports day and night. The athletes who have been practicing hard for the event are in a quandary but the babus are adamant , just shows how much we really care for our sportspersons.
Thanks for replying IG. Nobody is interested in sports , poor athletes train for years with hope of competing in Olympics but babus care only for free trips! Thankfully wrestling has been retained for Rio as well as Tokyo Olympics 2020 and the wrestlers are thrilled. Hope to see the Indian flag flying in the next Olympics!
