    hi bachus,
olive oil doesnt improve complexion in any way. if used for massage it just provides heat to the body where as castor oil acts like a coolant. in cold weather one can do massage with olive oil or mustard oil. but its not recommended in hot countries to massaage with these oils as it adds to the body heat.

    Hi Zeenat,
Are you in US? If so, which brand do I choose for pure malai and pure chandan powder?
I have a 2 yr old who is darker than me (like her dad), so I am desperately needing advice to improve her complexion.
Pls advise even other methods of improving her complexion.

    Thanks,
    Geetha

    Hi,

Olive oil is good for the skin. But, I too have heard that it causes tan. Pl. do confirm the brand of the Olive oil with the parents who have replied that it works great.

In my opinion pure coconut oil is the Best.
Also there's one from "Kottakkal Arya Vaidya sala" called "Elaadi Kera Tailam" . Its very good for babies skin.

    Hi Dear

Olive Oil is good for baby's skin

In case u feel it has some ill effects on your baby, u can always try the almond oil or ant Vit-E enriched oil

And you can also try the Johnson's product...safest of all....:thumbsup

As to olive oil being used in summer, its definitely safe and more rich in anti oxidants and doesn't make the skin dark. Instead it makes the skin strong and healthy.

You can also know more on baby oil massages at (edited out) which has a detailed writeup on baby oil massage therapy and the oils that are good for the body.:hiya

    Thanks
    Amit Kumar
