    Hi All,:hiya

At the time of marraige(5 years back),my MIL gifted me few regular use sarees(plain printed ones) which i dint use since a looooong time as i dont wear saree at home and kept it inside and totally forgot about the sarees...few months back i suddenly thought about those sarees, felt bad for not using them and so decided to use them, but then i dont use them regularly and they are not that good to wear outside ??? how to use them :confused2:..

Then i came up with an idea, decided to decorate the sarees a little so that i can wear them outside for small poojas/functions/outings..:2thumbsup:

First,i bought matching lace/borders for those 3 sarees and got them attached..after that i decorated a little with kundans stones and glitters...took one saree per weekend...No time to do a grand work ,just did a simple work but still something to make the normal saree look a little bright.. :) to make myself feel proud that i am wearing my own designer saree...:biggrin2:

I dint find time to decorate the whole saree top-bottom but designed/decorated

*the pallu part-this i did little for 2 sarees ,dint do for the multi colour saree as i felt it would look better without the pallu part decoration
*the part before the pallu that would come in the front body area(the chest area)
*the down area or to say the starting of the saree till the area where the down pleats would get over..did not cover the entire width, only 1/2 of the width area..this i either decorated with glitters or fixed plain kundan stones(you can see in the multicolour saree)
*very little on the blouse either with plain white kundans or small flower like patterns

Have a look at the finished sarees...

    ------------
Out of the three sarees,i wore this alone for a birthday party and few ladies asked where i got this saree.. ;-)..i told them that i decorated it myself(ofcourse i felt very proud of it)
