For mohana.. Hi Mohana, I am also equally tempted on seeing this sweet. So, planning to try with the readymade flours as dont have patience to grind the flour from India and bring it here. Will let you know.. Bye.
Without bringing from India make it your self. Hi, Here in Saudi also we dont have Flour mills. So I used to grind these powders in my mixer grinder only. Fry as per the recipe and grind in the mixer grinder, Sieve and use. Enjoy preparing 'Uluthamkali' with out waiting. Bringing from India may take time. But you can make small quantity and enjoy the dish.
Dear Chitra I tried the caramel payasam and it was superb. It was so easy. Thanks for the recipe. Kids enjoyed it. About the Alo Gobi recipe which I gave it to my sister she said it did not came out well. I do not know what went wrong. So I thought of trying it out. Today I am planning to make Kovilakathu Sambhar. regards vidhi
Hello Vidhi, Caramel payasam ( if properly made !) is always a hit. I am glad you got it right. I am surprised that alu gobi did not come out well. It is an "everyday recipe" in my family & very simple too. Anyway, now I will eagerly await for your F B . Love, Chithra.
