wow mind blowing works,i bow to ur art. works are extra ordinary,that too ur dareness to paint ravi varma paintings shows ur talent. i do paint in oils but only land scapes till now,never tried still life rcfigures,bcoz i didnt learn any where its the net and books are my guru and ofcourse i have some bob ross videos which helped me a lot to know oils. did u learn any where r born artist?
Hi, Thanks a lot for the encouragement from IL. Nimurty, I also didn't have any formal training -like join a school of art. I learnt from here & there the techniques for oil painting. Ravi varma's grand niece , late Bhavani thampuratti showed me how to paint on canvas during our spare time.That speaks volumes about my interest in Ravi Varma paintings. I also learned Tanjore from a lady in New Delhi.There is no tanjore with me now, hence no photos.Colour pencil sketching from books..... I am so happy I chanced upon Indusladies. Regards, Nalini
