Dear Friends, The holy month of Shraavan begins today and many of us may be fasting on Mondays. It is considered highly auspicious to offer prayers to Lord Shiva during this month. It is beleived that those who observe this fast, Mahadev fulfils all their desires and they are blessed with wisdom. Offerings are made to ShivLing with milk, honey, bilwa leaves and flowers. Om Namah Shivaaya is chanted during the pooja.
