Oats in breakfast making my tummy flat !!!

    I have also experienced this. For about 45 days I used to have oats fr breakfast and I really lost a lot weight. Got to restart it now. Thank you for the post Evergreen!! Inspiring :)

    Will honey bunches of oats with milk (2 percent ) have similar effect? Any idea?

    Cool!!!
    These look like healthy breakfast items for the whole family. Especially I like that these do not need grinder (I am so lazy when it comes to grinding...). I am going to try them for all four of us. Usually i end up cooking separate dishes for the kids, as they always have some or the other issue with traditional indian food.

    Friends,
    Here is my another( ofcourse not healthy) version recipe of oats :) This will help you to take oats with smile :)

    Oatmeal and raisin cookies: ( My favorite cookies). They taste awesome. Believe me you will like them more than chocolate cookies.

    Ingredients:
    3/4 cup butter, softened
    3/4 cup white sugar
    3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 3/4 cups rolled oats
    1 cup raisins

    Method:
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
    In large bowl, cream together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until fluffy. Stir together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually beat into butter mixture. Stir in oats and raisins. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown. Cool slightly, remove from sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
    Those who doesnt have oven can make them in microwave. But see to that you make small cookies.

    enjoy them and you can take them in weekends. Because I take oats 5 days a week and saturday and sunday I will give off to oats :) But these can be enjoyed in those days..
