Notices section is taking considerable space on each & every page ... I was wondering if it could be included only on the forums index page or if possible, a small modification may be done to the Notices section it can be made as a scrolling section with a fixed height OR it could be a collapsing section with last update information I hope the administration team considers this . Thanks
Raagini, All these notices are dismissable. Once you have read a notice, you can click on the "x" sign at the end of each notice and dismiss it. It will not appear again. Thanks.
I didn't notice that those notices can be dismissed - my browser is not showing the x sign images :-( Thanks a lot for the kind response
Hi Raagini, You should see those "x" marks. If not, can you do a screenshot of the whole page and upload it here? We would like to troubleshoot. Thanks.
now I find that it was my own fault (rather my browser's (Firefox) ...) I checked with another browser and the signs are clearly visible I use Firefox with many extentions including noscript . scripts are enabled for this IL site , googleapis and some other trusted sites . I was away from this site for a longtime and it appears that the js functions are changed ... the following code appears to be not working on my FF Code: <input type="image" onclick="return dismiss_notice(37);" name="dismiss_noticeid_37" src="http://www.IndusLadies.com/forums/images/006/misc/cross.png" alt="Dismiss" style="float:right;" /> I will try to trace the cause . Thank You
Raagini, thank you for the followup and feedback. Hope you are able to fix the issue with the browser extensions.
Raagini, I use both firefox and chrome to browse. I can see the "X" mark in both browsers. Which version of FF are you using? *Added - I did have an issue with my earlier laptop where I could not see the right most images on screen. I realized it was being displayed outside the screen width by chrome. Sometimes some browsers don't re size the images on screen properly and sometimes you may not even see a horizontal scroll. I had to change my desktop settings to view a screen completely. Regards, Laks
Thank You Malathy & Laks09 . I was able to trace the root of my problem . cleared browser cache and disabled " Image like opera " extension . Now I can clearly see the notice dismissing image on my FireFox browser . Regards
