    Hi Suvidhya,

KOHINOOR Basmathi Rice is very good. Just right..:)

Grains come out separate and well cooked.:thumbsup It is available in Indian grocery stores.

Do try it...! Sometimes, they are available in smaller packets too.

    Cheers

From my experience, Swad basmati rice had come out good when cooked with 1:1 cup of wter for rice. Long grains and nice aroma. Thanks

Just an FYI for ILs living in south/east bay area. Coconut hill is having sona masoori rice (India best - their brand I guess) for $20. I found it no different than Ravi sona masoori. They also have 10Lbs pillsbury atta these days. I'm talking abt the one in Fremont. I guess their sunnyvale (Murphy Ave) stores might also have them in stock.

Kohinoor basmati rice is very good and rice comes perfect and fluffy.
Adora Basmati is also good, second to the former and cost effective too

    Enriched parboiled rice for idly?

I guess so right.. but this friend of mine, bought the Lakshmi brand's enriched parboiled rice... her proportion was 4:1 and it was so sticky she says..

Any one tried with this type of rice?

I am thinking with different proportion it should work:hiya
