    I agree with you. It means quite a lot specially for most of the times we end up doing so much for others. When we are appreciated, we feel happy that we did something good, but if there is only expectation, then it just not worth it.

    May not be possible everywhere.. But should try wherever possible...
    Ex: You are expected to give a midnight call to wish ur relative a Happy Birthday... If they appreciate it, its worth.. But if they complain when u dont call in midnight but some time in morning or evening then definitely there's no need...
