Dear Ladies, My husband is going on an exploratory job search visit to Sydney. He has been offered shared accomodation at two places, BlackTown and NewTown. Would require your guidance on which place is best, nearer to city and easy to attend interviews/meet consultants for job search. Thanks Vanathi.

Yes, I tried searching on google and also on sites like PomsinOz/BritishExpats, but for every two comments which says the areas are good, there are two which contradicts that. So Its difficult to make a decision. But as of now, he (DH) has settled on NewTown as it seems nearer to City. Regards Vananthi
vananthi Newtown is closer to city but expensive area ... blacktown lots of subcontinent people .. 45 mins express train to city and loads of indian restar around the place if your husband only coming alone then preferred in blacktown ... no place is safe but these two are good place to stay newtown ( less commuting option to city ) but closer to city though
i would go with BBD, Black town would be less expensive and can get indian food little chaeper than newtown.. newtown near to city and would be expensive with respect to food and stay but travel cost cheaper when going to city. Another point if you need to travel to city through train from blacktown it would cost you around 10$/to and fro. For more cost on transport you can check Welcome to CityRail
