:hello: NEVER JUDGE IN HASTE :hello:
In premobile pre computer days, a friend (K) of mine with his spouse (s) was about to leave home Ona Sunday for honeymoon to Nandhi Hills. His parents and only sister were all helping him and his young spouse for smooth departure for the journey.

K’s Dad while wishing him & spouse for happy time, instructed as soon as he reached Bangalore now Bengaluru he must write to him of his safe arrival.
He also added that K should never forget his mother and him because he had been married! By nature K’s dad is a short-tempered man.

K & s as soon as they arrived at then Madras Central station, searched for a post-box. K took out a blank India post post-card and wrote urgently some message and dropped it into the box. He had a glance at the hanging post box. Beneath the slot for dropping into mail there was an indication next clearance on Mon 0800 HRs.

When his young wife enquired what was so hurry to write a message at eleventh hour, he bluffed that it was for a friend about some job-interview and still they have time to reach the compartment in Brindavan Express.
Five days later they returned from their honeymoon.

It was a Friday around ten O’Clock when they had arrived in yellow-cab back home. At door-steps K’s mother & sister were already busy buying vegetables from street vendor.

Upon seeing the young couple Alighting from cab, K’s mother welcomed them and told them to wait for a moment for traditional aarathi before they are ushered into home.

K’s Dad was already upset as he had not received any mail from K about his safe reaching Bangalore.

As soon as K & s stepped in, he began scolding K for not keeping him posted of his safe journey to the other end.
k told that he had written a post card already to that effect. This angered further his dad.

That was the moment, all of them heard cycle-bell, announcing arrival of post-man. They all saw a postcard being delivered into the waiting hands of K’s dad.

K’s dad who after reading the message in it, smiled gently.

Later, K during pillow-talk revealed that post card that he wrote at central station was only addressed to dad informing him of their safe arrival at Bangalore!
