Need meanings of Boy names..

    I have been ROM (ReadOnlyMode) person for long time on this wonderful forum and finally I found something valuable to seek your advise....:)

    Can someone tell me the meanings of following names for baby boy?

    I have done enough re-search over these names and found conflicting descriptions and had thought about your advise...

    Hi, there is a book written by maneka gandhi on baby names with meaning. I guess it might help!

    Vallab,

    I know a couple of Aadyas and they are girls! So I am not sure if it is a boy's name. I may be wrong.

    This is how I understand the other two names -

    Shreyan - "Shreyas" is prosperity and I think it is modified for boys!
    Shriyan - 'Shriya" is wealth and I think it is again modified for boys!

    I may be totally off...but couldn't resist posting!

    Thanq Srama,,Shreyas is superior etc too...and yes it looks like they r boyified...

    found Aadya for Lord Shiva and also Pravathi..hence the confusion....

    Lord Shiva is also known as Ardhanareshwar. Guess,The name "Aadya'' also means both?

    I have 2 of my cousins who named their girls aadya. I am not 100% sure but I think aadya is girls name.

    I did some more research and found out that the can be used for Boys and for Girls...just like Chaithanya etc
