This will be a great trip, and a great place to visit in December. A cruise is a little bit different than other types of trips. You will want to make sure that you understand how and when you are supposed to board the ship after each stop. The last thing you want to do is miss the ship. You will also want to make sure that you keep track of your expenses throughout the week because that bill will come at the end of the week! Also, have you considered international travel insurance? This could protect you from a medical issue and possibly even loss luggage. Either situation would pose a significant problem!

First let me ask you by which cruise you are travelling?
If its NCL, then no need to worry, its a free style cruise.
First thing is you need to relax, no need to worry. You are going to have a blast in the cruise.
Let me give details about my trip and what I did....
First thing I did is lots of shopping (which I loved the most about the vacation).
--Few swim suits (for me, kids and DH)
You need to take minimum 2-3 sets because you will in the water most of the time and there won't be place to dry them.
--Vacation dresses (for myself, kids and DH), you need 3 dresses for each day.
One in the morning while leaving for sightseeing, one swin dress & evening in the cruise.
Decided and arranged all the sets which you are going to wear in order and packed them.
--Hair drying is a must I feel, it won't be supplied in the cruise.
--No need to worry about food, you will get food all the time in the cruise and get ready to gain some weight.

Visit your cruise website and read few Frequetly asked question
    Got to go now....
    will write in detail later...

There are plenty of swin suits which you can cover yourself well.
Buy a tank top and a lenghty shorts, it wouldn't look bad either.
You will be the 'odd' person if you get into water without swin suit and I bet, nobody would judge you or even care how you are looking in swim dress.
Just enjoy yourself and it would an oppurtunity to try out new things too :)

Don't worry about Indian food, there would be plenty of veg and non-veg, you will love it.

Boarding into cruise is similar as boarding into flight.
First they would check in your baggages and you need to hand over your passport/visa etc at immigration.
They wouldn't stamp on the passport (I think).

As soon as you board into cruise, you wouldn't be allowed into your rooms.
You can just take tour of ship, it will be awesome.
Your baggage will be shifted to your room later in the day.

    Don't miss to look at everyday's schedule/program.
You should watch those programs, its worth it.

No need to carry your passport in all the Island except 'Nassau'.
The day you board ship, book all your sightseeing/recreational events.
    They will get booked soon.
Also, try out water activities like jet biking, para sailing etc... its all worth in a life time.

We used to eat heavy breakfast and carry lots of fruits and milk cartons while heading out for sight seeing.
By 2-3pm, we were back into ship and have food.
Also, best part in the cruise is 'No cooking, NO cleaning' I loved it.
As per request they would clean your room 'n' number of times.
Everytime you get back to your room, its clean and neatly arranged.

No need to worry about 'sea sickness' etc, you won't feel a thing.
The ship is so huge and travelling b/w island is not much in Bahamas.

We didn't spend much money in booking the best room, because we used these rooms only for sleeping :)
All the other time, we were at the top of ship and swimming pool.

Do take a good formal dress for photo session, getting those pictures from professions is worth it.

I did facials & massages in the ship, every penny was worth it.
    You are really vacationing!!

Don't worry about luggage etc, no body takes anything.
I must say here, don't take any expensive jewelry or cash.

Keep your passport in of the baggage and lock it.
    That should work.

Also, credit cards will be billed for your each transaction and you will get the bill only at end of your trip.

We didn't take any insurance or anything for us and kids too.

I did take some first aid kit and medicines for kids.
Carry an umbrella it possible, it will rain all of a sudden there.

This is for now, ask me anything if you need any more info.

    Happy Vacationing!!!!

well, for sure i know here nobody cares nor judge about swim suit . i don't mind but my only concern was mainly about my dh..,so i was trying to figure out. how i can manage this issue?

Regarding the food i don't eat non veg .., next is can you be more specific on what formal dress you are talking about and BTW what did u take ? do u think taking indian formal dress would be nice like( chudi or saree ) i don't know ? finally facials and massage free or included as a complementary in the ship for guests....,

thanks again for your time ..,

I don't think there will be any free facials or massages.... its quite expensive too, but its worth.
    Good ones.
You can take Indian dress, but you might be the odd person to wean in ship.
I took formal suit for kids, DH and more me also.
