Nayan and Wiki have posted about their twin boys . Babies welcomed through surrogacy. How wonderful is that ! Not waiting on societal acceptance, they are normalizing surrogacy so that those who are not medically eligible to bear kids can find other options.
That's media. They always do that. Remember how they were body shaming Aishwarya Rai when she didn't drastically become size zero after her baby. They need something to feed their frenzy. Again Vignesh never confirmed the method of birth whether it's surrogacy or adoption. If done illegally wouldn't the hospital or the doctors not be aware of the laws and wouldn't they have discussed with the respective folks in this case the 'celebs'. If it's illegal due to the duration of the marriage then shouldn't the doctor/hospital involved be in news for their 'illegal practice'. And does the so called media know when exactly the marriage was registered? Was it recently when they had the 'wedding ceremony' or during the engagement? People register their marriage much earlier than their actual marriage these days. Infact I knew of someone who got her marriage registered during her engagement so that she can get her dependent visa and move to the country her hubby was in. This was 10-15 years ago. So many folks register their marriage earlier than the actual ceremony. Also media dancing around when they don't have the entire news is not new. Let those two enjoy their parenting.
They may have gone to another country for the surrogacy, if that’s what they did. Congratulations to the new parents!
@curlytweethere Or there Am still not clear about the twins delivery via surrogacy or adoption. And why would they not plan to consummate their marriage naturally? Any short comings on the part of either or both? Or that Nayan is scared of losing her slim figure? Or Vignesh is keen to keep her "as it is"? Only God Knows what is behind the curtain. Anyways I wish the couple and the twin babies robust life ahead.
It is up to them. As long as the couple are ok with it adoption or surrogacy or being child free is totally fine. And they don't have to justify it anyone about their decision
Is marriage required to have children? Even adoption or surrogacy? They might be really married on the day they showed, but might have adopted/surrogacy-ed earlier too right? What could be illegal (unless they just picked up the kids from somewhere randomly..?)
Here are some details, as this might answer some questions raised above: At a government meeting today Health Minister M. Subramaniyam was questioned the legality of Nayanthara's childbirth after reports emerged that she used the surrogacy method. The minister stated that an inquiry will be made to the Lady Superstar to ascertain if she used the proper guidelines to give birth through a surrogacy mother. He also added that there are around 90 guidelines and most important was that the surrogate who donated the eggs should be a woman of 21 to 36 years old and it is mandatory for her to be married. The husband of the woman should also give his consent before the process begins.
So much ignorance here. The surrogate is the woman who carries the pregnancy. A woman who donates eggs is called an egg donor. The couple usually uses their own eggs and sperm and the embryo is transferred to the surrogate.
