    Re: My little mixed crafts

This is a craft. I dontknow what name should be given to this. My friends sons nichyathartham held recently. While reading the Lekna pathirika, I prepared like this. Like oolaichuvadi in olden days.
They kept the lekna patrika in this and the sastrikal read the message.
For the purpose i prepared this. After the function over this can be convert in to a wall hanger by pasting one deity picture is my imagination.
    have a look

Re: Thorans and crochet mobile pouch

yeah leela, its very easy to made one star within a second. in future i will defnetly post the procedure for it to make one star then inside that star we have to insert another wire and put one star likewise we have to make our desired length. we can put individual also like this and arrange in a thread and make like long mala to put some gods in our house. but for me there is no time for doing these stuffs and already put like this. whenever i am getting time will defnetly post the pictures of that!! it was in my hometwon. when i am going thier will def. take a snap of the that one and post it for u dear!! thanks for ur comments dear!!! these are all i had learnt from my mom and from some of my close relatives who used to put in their home in my tenth standard!!

    Re: Satin Garlands & Thoranams

    hi shreyashreyas
    welcome u to this post.
I'm a follower of ur poems. they're too good.
the garland is too simple to make.
A simple try itself works out.
    Materials required:
-Satin ribbon 2 colours (available at all fancy stores. Roll - Rs.10)
-Round threaded balls (available at fancy stores) - 1 pkt (10 pieces Rs.10)
    - Fancy thread, woolen needle(any long one).
    - Big sized chakri(the golden colour desingned ones in the mid) Its available in fancy/craft stores.(Rs.10 - 30 pieces)

    Garland making:
-First turn the wrong side of the ribbon poke/pierce the needle in the center and start a running stitch in the middle of the ribbon lengthwise.
-After stitching the required length just twist the needle & the ribbon so that it forms as a flower shape.
-Add a chakri, then the next colour satin ribbon. In the middle u can add those threaded balls. That's it. Ur Garland is ready.
Enjoy making it. Its soooo easy.
Add up more according to ur own creativity.

    Designer umbrella for deities

I am uploading pictures of designer umbrella for deities. I must thank Sudha Kailas for teaching the basics of this umbrella. I must also thank Vijaya Sampath my student who arranged for a get together in chennai during her last trip.
