Name Correction In Indian Passport- India

    my cousin applied for a new indian passport in india and got her passport with her name spelled incorrectly. can any one know how to apply for the name correction.

    do they need to take an appointment to go to the office with the necessary documents , if so where to book the online appointment.

    please let me know.

    i am not really sure under which forum i have to post. please move the post to the correct fourm if needed.

    For benefit of others OP MAY text here how eventually her sister got her name corrected in Her pass port and applied from which state of india.
