Dear ladies, When I was in London, south east asia suffered the worst tsunami attack. It was really great the sympathy shown by Londoners and there were many fund raising movements. I wrote this poem by the spur of the moment and showed it to my British colleagues. They recommended me to present in a fund raising function organised by English Poets' Association in North London. When I presented this poem every one appreciated it and told it is straight from the heart. I want to share the poem with you here. Oh, Indian ocean! what wrong did we do? We went to your beaches to get air But you have taken the wind out of us Our children were happily collecting pebbles You have reduced them to rubbles We thought you will make our civilisation to flourish and with your riches you will nourish But you have chosen us to perish Oh, Indian ocean! what wrong did we do?
