    Hi my namesake,

What your husband says is very true. He is your better-half and so the blessings he brings are by default, available to you also.

Anyways, wish u get a chance witness Panguni Utsavam at Kapali temple soon.

    Hi Lakshmi,

Thanks for the comments dear. All roads and streets around the temple probably never sleep then. U can see many pavement shops open even at those hours. They must be making real cash then!

Today even my maid was reminiscing my MIL's days becos she used to give money to maid's daughter Anjali too and say - get some bangles or ear drops!!

See how elders mark their presence even if they are no more no?

Sorry dear, I made u nostalgic too.
Mylaporeans can never miss these important functions of the temple. They have that emotional bonding.

I am happy too that I brought memories of ur grandpa. My DD and DH too love Panneer Soda.

    Yeah Gangey!

I have been longing to watch the Trichur Pooram for so many years now. I don't know when only God will bless me to watch the occasion.

U know what, after retirement, I want to settle in God's own country. It is Sudha's favourite place. We want to plan for a holiday there at the earliest occasion.

    Dear Soldier

That was one lovely lively long post from you and enjoyed it very much. I have not been to any of those utsavams but did have a virtual tour with your post. I can only recollect vaguely something similar at my grandmother's place, when I was little. The utsavam atmosphere is something very special. I remember during my school days going to temple with our maid servant during margazhi masams......oh that used to be exciting and so refreshing, especially when we got our pongal and sundal prasadams. Good post and keep writing.
