My dear dear Preethi,my lovely grand daughter!
Please do accept my hearty congrtulations

My dear Preethi,in our society when a boy or girl gets married, the granparnts give gifts to their sons and daughters in law or sons in law and daughters and then they give gifts to their grand sons/grand daughters. It would have given tremendous happiness to my husband and me to to have attended your marriage in person,to enjoy, savour evry second of that divine occasion when two hearts meet and become one.May be God wanted us to bless you and your husband on your daughter’s wedding!(Don’t laugh,my dear!Stranger things do happen, when the heart wills it.)

My dear Preethi, the one question that stared me in the eyes just before your marriage was, what present shall I give this wonderful child,my affectionate son’s daughter? Then I got the answer also.

In the ensuing article,my dear Preethi, I have shared with you my experiences in my life.my quest for love in my life.

Dear Prethi,I got married when I was a 23 years old young woman,my husband being 33.Ours was a totally arranged marriage. In a totally arranged marriage,my dear the boy and the girl’s horoscopes match, perfectly well. That means the twelve houses in both the horoscopes are in perfect harmony.Again, that means ,my dear, the Sukra in the girl’s horoscope joins hands with sukra in the other horoscope and dances merrily. The Gemini in both the horoscopes look at each other and wink, the Venus in both the horoscopes blush in happiness. My dear Preethi,I think his happened in the case of our horoscopes and I and my husband got married.

Our married life started gloriously, all would have been very happy, had the Valentines Day not stared at me from all the covers of all the magazines.
All the cine stars shared their experiences, how they met their life partners, how they wooed each other ,and Oh my dear !I sighed.

I remembered,a couple of friends of mine who made their own choice in selecting their life partners. For example,A khila who married Giridhar I remember the glow in her face even today.

One day my maid tok eave without taking permission from me,which she normally never used to do.The reason she gave was that her daughter ran away with their neighbour’s son and both of them had got married wit the help of their fiends in a small temple. So even the maid’s daughter found love in her life?Oh,dear!I sighed.

Life took us on a beautiful journey. Two lovely daughters, fine spacious houses wherever we were posted, live in maids and the latest kitchengadgets that made life simpler for me.No housewife could have asked for better life style.Inspite of everything,my dear,I felt a small vacuum in the corner of my hy heart.Oh,yes, you guessed it right.I was looking for love the one factor that eluded me all along.Where was love in my life?Whenour teenaged daughters had closed their room doors and had retired for the day,and we lost ourselves in the marital blis, was love present there? No said my reasoning. This marital relationship occurred between couples irrelelevant of their feelings for each other.
When my husband got me lovely sarees and beautiful jewellery, was love standing ia corner and nudging me?”No”said my heart.
Life passed on my dear.My daughters had grown up,my husband had acquirednew responsibilities in his official capacity and I had my fine share of duties to perform. So this quest for love on my part took a slightly back seat.

We were in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" />Delhi and on a very pleasant April morning my husband had a massive heat attack. We rushed him to the hospital Escorts..My dear Preethi,my life came to a standstill. All the family members, his friends and colleagueswere constantly keeping vigil. Two days went by,and they allowed the family to visit him for a couple of minutes.I went to the ICU where he was given a bed and I could see him from the other side of the glass door.M husband had lost weight but his zest for life was very much there.
He looked at me and said in an emotion filled voice,”Bubbles (that is his pet name for me)I have not seen you for two days da.D o you know how much I missed you?”
That’s all.I could not bear it anymore and I started weeping. My dear Preethi, atlast I realized that there was love in my life. That was the moment I could feel the divine fragrance of love in my life.
My dear Preethi, when a mother is about to deliver her child, the panikkudam in her womb, opens, the amrut comes out rushing, bringing out the bundle of joy.In my case,Preethi, the panikkudam in my heart, broke out my child, and the amrut pushed out the divine flower called love.I cried the whole night, then I became peaceful.
My dear Preethi, you are a newly married young woman on your honeymoon. It is not right on my part to bore you with lengthy details of my experiences. So read thia at leisure.

One thing,in the early mornings, when you open your windows,do you see the Sun God traveling in his golden chariot, carrying no other than Manmadha.Manmadha carries with him in bunches, the divine flowers called love in various shapes giving mild fragrance.
My dea Preethi, let these divine flowers fill your life with love my dear.

I bless you and your husband from the bottom of my heart!

Love
Mithila kannan

Dear Mami,

Welcome back...

You did give us all anxious moments but very happy to see you back here. God is great !!!

I fully agree with you mami...i too realised this love in my life when I went in for a surgery recently. The pains of life really help us to see the positive side and the blessings of our life otherwise we would have taken everything for granted or worse never realised that too.

Mami do take care of yourself...writeup asusual is great!

Dear Mythili,

that was a great piece of writing. And shows that the tigress is back in action, with her customary dose of love, the word-skills and the language.

I enjoyed every word that was given in advice to my daughter. While I would have been really thrilled if you and LN could have made it to the wedding, I am sure if that had happened we all could have missed this wonderful epistle.

You had a strong message to deliver and you wrapped it up in the right package of words, so that the message remained in tact and intense.

If I had the powers I would make it mandatory that every woman who is about to be married, be it love or arranged, should read this post.

A blessing coming from a woman who has lived a full life .. I could not think of a more precious wedding gift to my daughter dearest.

When you were not well I wrote with conviction,' visualise the day we all will be responding to Mythili's posts.' And my vision has come true. Glory be to God.
My regards to LN sir.
love,
sridhar
