    Hello Ladies and Gents,

As you may know my Dad had health challenges

Last year he had TAVR. A month later he had a-fib

in Sep he had seizure due to low sodium

Then his lower back started to hurt.

We got PT and OT at home and they made his back worse

Now it hurts for him to stand, sit, walk.

He is really crying all the time and in pain.

I spoke to some specialists over Telemedicine and Dad was crying in horrible pain. Lower back is hurting and left side there feels like pinching.

He doesn't want treatment, he wants to leave the world

Specialist was so shocked, he got his supervising Dr

Supervising Dr said in few days to go nearby hospital ER and ask for comfort, not treatment for Dad. They themselves will reach out to Drs in that nearby hospital. It is painful for Dad to travel so long.

I know there are worse things in life but I never been so scared

What if i lose my Dad? As it is he didn't want to celebrate New Years because he feels his time is limited on Earth.

I'm taking and talking to God. I am saying please make Dad better from head-to-toe so he is thankful for being alive and can enjoy some more time on your Beautiful Green Earth.

My Dad says once he is in hospital he never wants to come home, he wants mukti.

I foolishly confided in a relative, she pretended to care and then said Dad deserves it, he is a bad person. (Now that I look back and connect the dots, she pretended to care when I was in abusive, fraud GC marriage and had miscarriage, but she was rejoicing)

I'm taking a huge emotional risk to post online because there are trolls, I know. But maybe 1 or 2 genuine person may give wisdom.

I am sorry to hear this.
Your father is clearly in physical pain and he just wants to feel relief. Call the hospital tomorrow and tell them that the situation is urgent and that they should give you some steps you can take.

My Dad is scared of ER and even the Dr acknowledge this.

Dr advised my Dad to go to ER at least busy time, not right after weekend or holiday.

In the meantime i was advised what to pack.

I am worried about the transport. It seems he may have to take private ambulance in a stretcher.

But what if it rains that day? Also we are in the city, how will private ambulance manage the traffic.

Call the ambulance if you have to. They know how to figure it out.

    Thank you for your replies

Can you help me with something

If I call 911 for non-emergency transport, will they take to hospital that my Dad is requesting?

Because Doctors on telemedicine said go to x-y-z hospital (they are an affiliated hospital with easier access to his medical records)

I am not sure about that, whether 911 will take you to a specific hospital. Maybe it is better to call your insurance company and see what they suggest. There are also medical transport companies but again make sure your insurance will cover this. Out of pocket bills for these services can be very costly.

    I'll check

At this point i'm not too scared of cost

I never seen my Dad suffer so much. Even last year after TAVR he was suffering horribly (it was a-fib and they drained fluid from his legs and cardioverted him), but this is a new level of scariness!
