    _An Old Lady was travelling from Chennai to Neyveli. After a while the Lady asked the Conductor whether they had reached Madurantakam. He replied, no Amma, still lot of time. After some time when the Bus stopped at a stop, the Lady asked Loudly if they had reached Madurantakam. This went on three or four times. The Conductor got annoyed and rudely replied, don't shout at every stop. I will tell you when we reach your place. The Old Lady was now satisfied that she would not miss her stop and dozed off. When she woke up they had reached Vizhupuram. She asked the Conductor if they had crossed Madurantakam. The Conductor realised his Folly and said Apologetically that they had crossed Madurantakam and reached Vizhupuram. He blamed her for sleeping and said she should have been alert. Now the Old Lady got really annoyed and made a ruckus saying, what nonsense, you told me you would tell me when we reach Madurantakam and trusting you, I dozed off. Soon the other Passengers in the Bus supported the Old Lady and asked the Conductor to take back the Bus to Madurantakam for dropping the Old Lady. When the Conductor felt the Heat of all the Passengers, he had no alternative but to return to Madurantakam. He said, Amma we have reached Madurantakam, get down fast. The Lady stood up and took out her Bag from the Overhead Carrier and took out a Tablet and drank some Water and sat down. The Conductor got furious and asked if she was getting down or not. The Old Lady said, why should I get down here when I have to go to Neyveli. My Daughter had told me to take the BP Tablet when the Bus reached Madurantakam. I have taken my Tablet, now you can start the Bus ..._

    _*How about the Conductor's BP now?*_

    An old man arrived at a free eye camp at village. He was seated in an elevated chair in position. A dummy spectacle frame placed over his ears . One of his eyes blocked and the doctor put a lens in dummy frame and asked him whether he could read the letters at a distant bright board. The man said no. Again he changed the lens and asked him whether he could read now. He said “no”.
    Over half a dozen times this trial repeated but “no” was an emphatic answer from the old man. Then doctor remembered the board contains english alphabet . He switched the board to tamil alphabet. Now he repeated the test and the result was same “no” from old man.

    You know why?

    @Cheeniya Sir,

    Hillarious! The conductor should borrow one of her pills to reduce his BP. I had been on that bus many times from Chennai to Neyveli but those days the trip will take only 5 hours including breaks in between! Nowadays, reaching Chengleput from Chennai itself may take 2-3 hours depending on the traffic. I genuinely thought the old lady was going to have Gopura Dharshanam of "Aeri Katha Raman Koil"! I never thought it is for taking a BP pill.

    @Thyagrajan Sir,

    I was waiting on the line to see an eye doctor in Adyar when I was young (those days I had thick lenses). An old man's pupils were dilated for a while. When the doctor came to check his eye sight and asked him to read the chart, the power was shut down in the area. He screamed, "I lost my eyesight as I couldn't see anything". The doctor calmly said, "No one can see as the (electric) power was shut down".
