Hi All, I am back with another experiment that came out perfectly well. This is a new combination that I tried and hope you will enjoy too..!! The below medium spicy recipie serves 4. Ingredients: Mushroom - 200 gm. (or 1/2 lb) Chopped slender. Moong (Sprouted) - 1.5 cup Mustard seed - 1/2 tsp. cumin seed - 1/2 tsp. Curry leaf - few Onions - 1 Medium Tomato - 1 Medium Green Chili - 2 Garlic - 3 cloves chopped Chopped Ginger - 1 tbsb Oil - 2 tbsp. Chili powder - 1 tsp Coriander - 1.5 tsp Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp Garam masala - 1/2 tsp cumin powder - 1/2 tsp. Preparation: --Pressurecook the sprouted moong for 5 minutes with enough water. --In a heated pan pour 2 tbsp oil and splutter mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves. --Saute chopped ginger, garlic and green chillies. --Add finely chopped onion and saute well until golden brown. --Add chopped mushrooms and saute till all water oozes out and evaporates off completely. --Add turmeric pdr, chili pdr, corriander pdr, garam masala, cumin pdr, chopped tomato and saute for 2 minutes. --Now add cooked moong into this, add salt to taste and mix well. --Add more water if needed, and cook for 5-10 minutes on medium heat. Serve hot with rice or roti.!! Thanks.
Nice recipe Chinu. I made the moong dhal to sprout once.. but didnt like to eat it.. So i did the same but without mushrooms. I will try your idea.. Thanks for sharing the recipe.. ilt
