Moving to USA...Please help!

Hi All,

We are moving to usa from India in two weeks. My hubby will be working in washington dc, I will be sitting at home with L2 visa.Ofcourse i will apply for EAD and look for job after 3 months. I have around 5 years IT exp, so
hopefully can get some job!!!

We would like to take an apartment in Virginia. A place where my hubby can travel to DC using metro rail. I know places very close(walkable) to metro have high rent, so looking for something nearby which is well connected by metro bus or so to get to the metro station easily.We do not plan to take a car initally.

So do you guys have any suggestion which will be the better place. Only me and hubby with no kids, so looking for
1 BHK(even a decent studio is fine!!!). Need a kitchen and basic utilities. Place should be safe, thats important.

Please help!!!
