Moving to Monterey-San Jose area

    Temperatures dropped to around 37 at the lowest last year... You might face windchills down south in Monterey... No snow helps :) It was hard for me at first since I am from Mumbai and we never really have "winter" over there...
    And apparently, this year it rained more than it normally does... so expect a dull weather overall but no snow and therefore no slush. :)
    If you miss the snow, you can always drive up to Tahoe to experience it :)

    Pmahensa, is Fremont close to Monterey? We must get together.

    37 degrees is still nothing compared to -6 here in the winter, mixed with cold rain and bone chilling breeze! Yuck! I don't think I will miss snow as much Chinni, and my inlaws are from Colorado so we'll go there for Christmas so I'll have my 'snow fix' then. :)

    sure thing Raj. let me know when you are in Monterey. I've been meaning to take aadit down there ... they have a fabulous aquarium with a neat kids section too.

    Yeah, I've visited NYC during winter and boy, am I glad I live in California!!
    And it just gets better, what with summer coming up!!
    Although, I do advise extensive use of sun block since the sun is rather piercing this side of the US. It can be especially harsh for the little ones. :)
