moving to dallas

Hi All,
we are planning to move to Dallas from boston in march.Which area is the best to rent.i have a kid who will go to 1st grade and a play school/day care for my 3 yr old.iam looking mainly for good school and safety.because my husband travels on week days.i have gone through so much information but could not decide which apartment are best.because most of the apartment reviews says has problems with bugs,roaches or some break ins.and also iam looking with washer/dryer in apartment or have atleast connections so that we can buy our own.and preferably good indian comunity.any help would be appreciated very much.
