Moong dal - 1 glass Sugar - 2 glasses Ghee - 250gms Kishmish - 1 tsp Cashew (chopped) - 1 tblsp Dry fry dal till it is hot and powder it finely when it is cool. Fry kishmish and cashew with ghee and keep aside. Powder the sugar finely Mix dal powder+sugar powder+nuts in a bowl Melt ghee and it should be hot till you finish making the laadoos. In a plate take 1/4 portion of the mixture and add 1 table spoon of ghee and make laadoos. If required add more mixture or ghee to your interest. But the laadoo should be tight becos when it comes to room temperature it will become little loose. If you add more ghee the laadoos will become flat. finish all the mixture like this. It is a tasty and healthy one.
Dear Dinny, Actually I am very lazy for your sake surely I'll prepare the sweet and feast you with the picture. Many thanks for your feed back. My granny(mother mom) use to make this sweet in her days using green grams. She will grind in the grinding stone to remove the outer layer and fry the dal light brown, the aroma itself will be very fine. Ghee must be home made. My granny use to send this sweet to my father when he goes to Sabari Malai every year as he loves so much.
