May be once you are running out of your contract, try to switch to Uverse for some time and keep poking around the comcast for another deal. I think it all depends on how much you spend on something. In all honesty I dont think i will be able to do a $50 grocery budget for me and DH and a 3 year old.

Mine is below please advise if I can save some where rent - 950 ( 2 bed) car emi - 500 I phones - 120 vonage - 30 groceries - 300 kumon for kid - 260 gas -150 misc- 100 total approximately - 2500 ( 2 adults 2 kids) currently both os us are working and below 150k Household income.
What coupon apps do you use? how to print coupons without installing any software on computer? Another tip: I use raise dot come to buy discounted gift cards which i use to at walmart and many other stores. Whole food market gift cards are at 14.7 % discount. Many a times I dont buy grocery untill i use all. The next day instead of veggies i use any of the pulses. Also for backup i keep some cut veggies in the freezer...in this way we will end up spending less on groceries.
rcvmegas, I use raise.com a lot. This super easy to order discounted gift cards through their app. I used to do couponing extensively, now with limited time I no longer do it. Instead, I'm using apps such as Flipp, and Instacart that help us save both time and money. Talked more about it in my blog.
