im famous for making up nicknames for kids
my sister in law's kids named
jingru and dammulu
the little fellow dammulu is pretty smart
he told his mom
ma mami can call me dammulu
(born on feb14 and knows how
to spin a loving web...!!)
but you better call me srinath
lest i forget my own name in school...!!

they dont have any reason behind it
it is either their name shortened

we shorten long names
for benefit
and lengthen tiny ones
lest it be unknown...

we get named on the streets
bus or car remember...?

here is one to laugh about
when we were kids those were the days of the
first motorbikes...or thats what i think...
one fellow on our street
pulled out the silencer
and raced down the street up and down
it made a huge noise...
and guess what we used to say among ourselves...
hey jatty is flying ....
as he used to ride in his undies...
