Hi all, My kid is 3.10 yrs old and he is currently going to Jr.KG in one school and till now he is going day care facility where i used to give him lunch and evening snacks like apple and milk, but now in this school they dont allow home food as they have their own kitchen and give them morning breakfast, lunch and snacks also there. Now am concerned about his food , i saw that he is not properly eating lunch and no fruits or milk in the snacks and mostly snacks are like noodles, sandwich,,, Now i have morning till 8am and evening after 6pm his time in my hands and saturday and sunday So,please suggest me the foods that will cover fruits, vegetables and nuts and timings also ..am going really mad thinking about these as he is already lean and am using calcium and minerals tonics for him as doctor prescribed (He is too lean also ..but an active kid) Thanks a lot!!!
Hi, Try oats / fruit salad at morning, it induces hunger soon. He will try to eat some breakfast. After school, enquire him what he had. Provide accordingly. Wait for him with veg stuff rolls , parathas or meals, in evening. Try dhal rice or hot idlies, according to his wish and taste. Dont forget to give milk at night.
Yogurt parfaits for evening snack before dinner or as dessert post dinner Fresh cut fruits or fresh juices once he omes back from school Milk shkes with fruits and nuts post dinner instead of giving regular milk in the night Is the school not offering any healthy options?
Hi all, Thanks for ur valuble suggesstions, hi ramya school offers snax mostly as burgers and fries and noodles and one day sandwich, wat are yogurt parfaits?? and any idea how veggies can be included as at lunch time mostly he eats with dal rice or chapati dal offered by school.
@madire this is thr simplest version of yogurt parfait Yogurt Parfait Recipe - Allrecipes.com you can add fruits of your choice or flavored yogurt etc. I thought the school was providing lunch. Does the school not provide any veggies in lunch? What about stuffed parathas?
