    BTW
    @all living in hyderabad
i am looking for a good child specialist here. plz let me know if there's any.
i have been to suraksha hospital in tarnaka.. also rainbow in karkhana area..but am looking for someone not associated with a big hospital. has a pvt clinic or something. plz let me know.
my DD is having discharge from belly button and both hospital docs are telling me laproscopy is the only way to find out if there's any loose connection betwn the umbilicus and bladder - and fix it too. i am scared for surgery for a 4 month old so want a good doc's honest opinion.
    TIA

hats off to you...managing everything alone :) thats great dear :) i have a cook at home...so all am doing is taking care of DS :) did i tell u??? i live at my parents place for 3 days in a week and the rest at my home with DH and MIL :)

pranav is getting mischievous day by day...goes under the diwan, licks chairs or anything thats comes onto his hand :) but whats fun with kids not doing any mischief :) as long as that does not hurt anyone or they damage someone else's things its fine na?? :) btw last sunday Pranav went out for his first movie 'Dookudu' at Prasads IMAX with my parents, in-law...he was such a quite kid there...he watched the movie for about an hour and then slept off :)

    Hi Tia,

Sorry for a late reply. My gynaec had suggested Dr.Sandeep Jain for my DS when I was asking her for a good pediatrician. She takes her DS to him. But I still haven't been to him. His clinic is in Gandhi Nagar ( take a right from Ashok Nagar 'X' Roads when coming from RTC 'X' Roads) opp to Eshwar Lakshmi hospital. He is said to be available at the clinic in the evening from 6.30 PM. If you are interested can give you his number.

PS: I was initially taking my DS to Dr.Srinivas Murki at Kamineni Hospital, Basheer Bagh. He is very renowned pediatrician in Hyderabad. The whole unit has now moved to Paramitha hospital at Dilsukh nagar. So considering the distance we are looking for other pediatricians. Though Dr.Srinivas is very busy and gives only about a minute or so, I was very satisfied with him. If you think its something serious, I suggest you to take your DD to Dr.Srinivas. Can give you the address if you want to take her to him.

I know both of these clinics/hospitals are far from your place, but if you are just going to take your DD once to them, you can go there. Other than these I am not aware of pediatricians in areas closer to yours.

    Hi Pavithra,
Thanks a ton for taking the time & replying back.. BTW I used TIA as a short form of Thanks in Advance. I use the nickname aqua here :)

I am looking for an independent good doctor - someone who is not associated with any hospital. 'Cos my denial-motherhood (for the lack of a better word) is telling me that both docs I went to are looking forward to a good chunk of money with the laproscopy surgery at their respective hospitals.. SO I guess I would prob go to Dr. Jain. If you can pass on his number too.. I will really appreciate it.

I feel DD is just too small to get a surgery done.. so really scared deep down in my heart and unable to make up my mind to just go and get it done without 2-3 good doc's opinions!
    Thanks again for getting back!
    -Aqua

hey aqua.. sorry for the late reply.. ! DD keeping me soo busy! Ohh about logging in time, since we are logging in rarely.. i think it would be difficult to communicate one time and be there.. i mean if say tomorrow, u might not login.. u think of a time and let me know. will login and check the number.. and call u.

And coming to ur DD's prob.. ohh hon i know how u must be feeling! its really a tough time.. dont worry, i'll pray that its nothing and just some infection tat will go away upon treating. Its really good that u r waiting to get honest opinions instead of falling prey to these docs. But even I dont know any since I also go to rainbow, karkhana only.. still let me ask my neighbours here and get back to u. Also if there is no other option,.. ask the doc if this is can wait till ur DD becomes atleast a year or 2 old so it would be easy for her also to cope up. How is discharge now? has is subsided? did u visit anybody else after tat? keep us updated. take lots of care of ur LO... my hugs and kisses to her.

    love
    Tanuja

    heyy Pavi..

nice to know that the function went on very well.. pal payasam yummy!! doc has asked me to come to him once adithi is 6 months to let me know how to introduce solids...

ha ha.. yea! so confusion avoided! :) let me know when, how.. once we meet i'll take u to my home here in sec. Its nice to have friends in this city..

dont take ur hats off yet! I have also re-appointed my cook.. I did give cooking a try by stopping her but I literally couldnt.. so result - cook back in kitchen.. dont know how our moms managed back then.. I wonder.!

u know Im really jealous of you... how sweet! ur parents stay in the same city and u can juggle soo easily.. Im with no one.. no parents or in laws.. parents are not willing to stay in my house.. mil got her own daughter to help and worry about.. so u r soo luckyy :)

how cute he has started all that? waiting for my girl to do all these stuffs too.. but everyone scaring me tat once they start all that.. its done and we wont have energy left at all & all that. hmm lets see.

Adithi is just the opposite of Pranav.. for one thing I can be assured that she wont let us both watch a movie.. Since there is no one here its been ages since we watched one. Main thing I got my cook back because this girl wont allow me work. She wants me by her side all the time. Someone should keep her entertained all the time. otherwise she will get angry..! she enjoys watching all the pictures if i read her a book. In the night if she wakes up for a feed and I dont, she gives me a bigg tight kick, while holding her pulls hair, scratches my face and what not... dont know wat all this rowdy is going to do in future.. lol

nyways.. its so nice to share these.. keep me posted with pranav's mischiefs...

    take care
    love

    Hey Tanuja
No the discharge hasn't subsided. And the more I read about it over the net..the more it leans to what the docs are saying :-(
I am going to wait post-Diwali to see on my own if it goes down.. DH wants to get this rid off asap but I am not sure of it when she is still so young..
Otherwise she is doing great! Laughs..coos..plays..and yes every damn thing in the mouth hahaha
We did annaprasannam for her on Dusshera and she loved the jaggery rice..even if it was merely a nibble..

Which doc are you seeing @ rainbow? We take our DD to Preetham Kumar.. He seems to be such a gentleman..very softspoken and listens patiently..

    @ All
Have your babies started sitting yet? My DD wants to sit all the time now.. She hardly likes to lie down now! Although she is not able to sit on her own she wants us to hold her in sitting or standing position to have a better view of things!
    Did you all start solids?
I am thinking of starting cerelac or something after doc's advice after she completes 6 months..
    How about you all?
