Dear Usha, nice to know that all omens are very good. Pray Ambal blesses you & yours. I too come from Madurai ( American college). Nice to interact with a Maduraite! Love, Chithra.
Dear Chitra Mami, I am blessed to have gone thro' your post on the "Mangadu.........." yesterday of all days since my friend Usha mami (Padhmu) wanted to know the procedure as I have done this whilst I was in chennai during my pre-marriage days. I happened to call her during the raghu kaalam and gave her your information which she felt came to her at the right time. The first time before I became a member was when I was surfing for some shlokas to chant during navrathri especially since I planned a Kanya pendir puja and in those days my mother used to have the vadhyar at home perform the "Lalitha Sahasranamam" for 9 days after keeping the golu and invite one girl each from age 2 onwards every day in the evening and offer them haldi Kumkum. I wanted to do that in Bahrain last year and got into this website and became a member but I always used to look only through the craft section and not the other forums. Yesterday I decided to look up as to what else is there and came across your articles and shlokas and I was so impressed that I immediately wanted to share with Usha Mami who also I introduced to Indus a couple of months back. I am really very happy to write and share all this with you like I would do with my mother whom I plan to visit this month on my vacation and introduce her into the World of Indus. Namaskarams, Sudha
Thankyou, Sudha. Anushakmurthy came home once & mentioned your name & about your handwork. Some coincidences are "meaningful". Yours to Usha seems to be like that! Do come home when you come to Chennai. Love, Chithra.
hello all I understand that the exact pronunciation cannot be obtained in the English version..but if someone can post the English translation and we have the audio it will be easy. I don't have anybody coming from India. So i request somebody who has the music and English translation to post the same here. I know i am asking for too much. But it is a humble request to all the great ladies here.:bowdown:bowdown:bowdown
Thank you Mami, I will try and meet you during my stay in Chennai. Can I PM you with my email id and tel. no in order to be in touch? Please let me know. Sudha

Re: maankadu kaamadshi amman Dear Shantha Varatha You can visit the thread Mangadu Kamakshi - Aaru Vara Padalgal in this topic. It is discussed in that thread about the procedure of how to do the pooja and vratha. The songs are also given week wise by our great Chitra madam. You can go through that and ask your doubts if any in that same thread so that it will be useful for other ILs to help you.
